The city of Duqm (Oman, El Wusta) is really worth a visit, because it has an impressive selection of attractions and entertainment for all tastes

In ancient times, there was a great dragon that lived in the waters surrounding the port of Duqm. The dragon was feared by sailors and fishermen alike, as it was said to be able to create violent storms and capsize ships with a flick of its tail. The people of Duqm lived in constant fear of the dragon, and many offerings were made to try to appease it.

One day, a brave sailor named Khalid decided to take matters into his own hands. He had heard rumors of a powerful magic sword that could slay dragons, and set out on a quest to find it. After many months of travel and adventure, Khalid finally found the sword, and returned to Duqm to face the dragon.

The battle was long and fierce, with Khalid dodging the dragon's fiery breath and slashing at its scaly hide with the magic sword. Finally, with one mighty blow, Khalid struck the dragon's heart and it fell into the sea, never to trouble the people of Duqm again.

To this day, the magic sword is said to be buried somewhere in the sands of Duqm, waiting for a worthy hero to come and claim it. And the people of Duqm continue to honor the memory of Khalid, the brave sailor who saved their port from the terror of the dragon.
