In ancient times, Al-Suwaiq was a bustling port city known for its pearl trade. Legend has it that the city was protected by a powerful sea goddess named Aziza, who was said to reside in the waters surrounding the port.
According to the legend, Aziza would only reveal herself to those who were pure of heart and had the utmost respect for the sea. Many sailors and traders attempted to gain her favor by offering her gifts and performing rituals, but few were successful.
One day, a young fisherman named Ali set out to sea in search of a bountiful catch. As he was casting his net, he accidentally caught a small turtle. Feeling guilty for harming the creature, Ali released the turtle back into the sea and made an offering to Aziza, asking for forgiveness.
To his surprise, Aziza appeared before him in the form of a beautiful woman. She thanked Ali for his respect and kindness towards the creatures of the sea and granted him three wishes. Ali asked for a bountiful catch of fish, wealth, and the love of his life.
Aziza granted his wishes, but warned him that he must continue to show respect for the sea and all of its creatures, or else he would lose everything he had gained.
From that day forward, Ali became a successful fisherman and lived a life of wealth and happiness with his true love by his side. And it was said that the port of Al-Suwaiq continued to prosper under the protection of the benevolent sea
