According to an ancient legend, the city of Banda Aceh was once ruled by a powerful queen named Sari Alam. She was a wise and just ruler who was loved by her people, and her kingdom prospered under her leadership.
One day, while she was walking along the shores of her kingdom, Sari Alam came across a group of fishermen who had caught a beautiful golden fish. The fish was so rare and precious that the fishermen did not know what to do with it.
Sari Alam took the fish from the fishermen and decided to keep it as a symbol of her power and prosperity. However, the fish soon began to grow and grow until it became too large to be kept in a tank or a pond.
One day, the fish grew so large that it broke free from its enclosure and began to wreak havoc on the kingdom. It caused massive floods and destroyed buildings, bridges, and crops.
Sari Alam knew that she had to stop the fish before it destroyed her entire kingdom. She prayed to the gods for help, and they answered her prayers by sending a hero named Malik Al-Tahir to slay the giant fish.
Malik Al-Tahir was a brave warrior who was known for his strength and his swordsmanship. He set out to sea in a small boat armed with only his sword and his courage. When he came face to face with the giant fish, he fought bravely and managed to slay it, saving the kingdom from further destruction.
To this day, the people of Banda Aceh still remember the bravery of Malik Al-Tahir and the wisdom of Queen Sari Alam. They believe that the golden fish was a symbol of the challenges and hardships that the kingdom faced, and that the heroism of Malik Al-Tahir and the leadership of Sari Alam helped them overcome those challenges and build a prosperous kingdom.
