Some of the other places of cultural interest are the Elephant Caves in Maharashtra, the Konark Sun Temple and Jaganatha Temple in Orissa, the Hajuraho Temples in Madhya Pradesh, the Golden Temple at Amritsar in Punjab, the Mamallapuram and Kanchipuram Temples in Tamil Nadu, monuments in Karnatka, etc.

India is also known for some of its beautiful beaches such as, Goa, Mamallapuram, Kovalam, Pondicherry, Puri Konark, etc. In addition, island tourism is also developed in Andaman/Nokobar and Lakshadweep Islands.
