The boat
The brand new World Explorer was born in August 2019 in the shipyards of Viana do Castelo in Portugal.
Its cutting-edge technology allows it to navigate safely… even in the most extreme areas of the planet such as the confines of the Antarctic continent. It can access the most remote ports and thus facilitates the creation of exceptional itineraries.
On board the World Explorer, modernity is combined with elegance and comfort: the elegance of its resolutely sleek and refined design, the comfort and safety of its navigation provided by its high technicality. It adapts as well to expeditions as to beautiful coastal navigations or long ocean crossings.
The World Explorer is equipped with hybrid engines that allow it to carry out all its maneuvers in ports while limiting greenhouse gas emissions as much as possible. Its Rolls-Royce engines are optimized for minimum consumption.
Its new dynamic parking system allows it to stay in place without using anchors when it is stationary near the coast. This optimizes the preservation of underwater flora and the protection of ecosystems. Its new stabilizer technology also limits its consumption at sea.
On board, everything is done to limit waste as much as possible: water consumption, plastic objects, stock management, etc. Information is broadcast digitally on screens, which limits the use of paper.

Important note
The itinerary and the order of the stops are given for information purposes only and are intended to give an example of the adventure that you will be able to experience. Navigation in this region presents several random aspects and is strictly subject to climatic conditions and in particular to the movements of the ice. Also, the itinerary can be modified according to these conditions. Stopovers can be reversed or even deleted. Only the captain will be able to make the appropriate decisions to guarantee the cruise in the best possible safety conditions. Our expedition team will be at your side to accompany you in the discovery of this region. We draw your attention to the landings in zodiacs which require good physical condition. Wild species move, so it may happen that all or part of the fauna mentioned in the program is not visible during the exploration.
