Greenland is the largest island on our planet. It is located almost entirely in the north-eastern part of the Canadian Shield, between the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. In the summer 2023 Maritime Practice will undertake 8 sail training voyages in East Greenland on the schooner Amazone. Unlike the West, with its tourist infrastructure, large cruise ships and crowds of tourists, the eastern part of the island is a completely wilderness with numerous fjords, whales, seals and icebergs. Greenland's glaciers are considered to be the world's second largest freshwater reservoir after Antarctica. We will try to get as close as possible to them on the schooner Amazone to listen to the ice cracking and watch the giant icebergs drifting in the ocean.
