Philipsburg is the capital of the Dutch part of the island of St. Martin (St. Martin) in the Caribbean archipelago

The island is divided into two parts: the French territory is called St. Martin. Those who dream of bargain shopping flock to duty- and tax-free goods stores. In Philipsburg, these stores form an entire shopping district with a total length of about two kilometers. Tourists can also visit art galleries, historic forts, a casino and zoo, or stop by Great Bay Beach and stroll down its boulevard. At the 12 Metre Challenge marina, guests have the opportunity to step out to sea and feel like part of the crew of one of the five boats that competed in the 1987 America's Cup.
